Yes, they're four of them, yes, they come from Sheffield, and yes, they deal in the same working class inner city lyrics as Alex Turner and his band.
They're certainly contemporaries of the Arctics, played the same circuit on the way up, and were grateful for the leg-up they received in the shape of a support slot when I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor was No 1.
But they are a fine band in their own right, and don't seem to attract the sort of lairy, laddish crowd that have turned Arctics gigs into such rough and tumble affairs.
This gig at a far-from-full Bassment is part of a tour promoting their second album These Are The Facts, out today.
They played a tight hour-long set full of indie rock nuggets which had the mainly-studenty crowd dancing like dervishes and hollering every word.
The highlights were obvious - the singles Send In The Boys and Cheshire Cat Smile and debut album title track Well Well Well.
Latest single What Will You Do (When The Money Goes)? went down a storm too, but the excellent 17 and a mass singalong Roll Out The Barrel stood out for me.
A word too for the openers, young Stoke band Model Radio, whose dance-inflected indie rock impressed me so much I bought their five-track EP. Check 'em out on myspace.
