CHILDREN from a South Shields nursery toddled around their local park in aid of charity.
Youngsters from Noah's Ark Nursery in West Park Road stepped out for the 2by2 Children's Foundation.

The sponsored walk took place in West Park and about 50 babies and children under 10 participated.

A spokeswoman for the nursery said: "They were as good as gold. They walked most of the way. Some were in their pushchairs with their little flags."

The 2by2 Children's Foundation was launched last year to provide specially adapted toys and prosthetic limbs for youngsters.

Based in the borough, it has been adopted as one of the Mayor of South Tyneside's chosen charities this year, but needs to raise £5,000 to become a registered organisation and receive charitable status.
