A FORMER South Shields dancer tripped the light fantastic when she wed her Prince Charming.

Louisa Barratt, a former pupil of Valerie Shepherd School of Dance in South Shields and Kathleen Knox School of Dance in Sunderland, married Tim Hodges in Buckinghamshire.

The couple met when they performed together in the 25th anniversary tour of Cats, and they plan to set up home in the Cotswolds.

Mum Anna Barratt, who lives with husband Graham in Blackpool, said: "As one would imagine, the wedding was an all-singing and dancing experience and there was not a dry eye in the house.

"Louisa has always given us every reason to be proud and this has become two-fold with the addition of Tim to the family."
