NEWCASTLE United boss Joe Kinnear has another unwanted headache after Nicky Butt picked up a one-game suspension.
Butt was shown a yellow card for a foul on Hull City's Craig Fagan in Saturday's goalless draw at the KC Stadium, and will sit out this weekend's home game against West Ham United.

However, Kinnear and first-team coach Chris Hughton are optimistic Charles N'Zogbia will recover from the dead leg he suffered in the FA Cup tie to make the starting XI.

"Charles was a blow, but we're hoping he's going to be OK," Hughton told the Gazette.

"He's got a dead leg, and he was very sore and stiff after the game, but that's the nature of the injury.

"We're optimistic he'll be OK for next week, but he certainly won't be doing much training.

"I'm not sure there are too many coming back for the next couple of weeks.

"It's thin, and at the moment we're one short because of suspension as well.

"It's a question of trying to get players back as quickly as we can and not picking up any more injuries."
