A FERRARI once owned by former Newcastle United striker Michael Owen is up for sale for an eye-watering £150,000.
The two-door 599 GTB Fiorano f1 in metallic Tour de France blue, which has two years' warranty left, would have cost £198,000 new, but Owen had another £24,000 of extras fitted.
The customised 2007 612bhp model has ceramic brakes worth £11,500, alloy wheels costing £2,500, a £1,350 sat nav system and a leather parcel shelf at a bargain £1,325.
The striker's contract at St James's Park ran out this week, but the car sale is unlikely to be due to the multi-millionaire being strapped for cash.
The Lawton Brook dealership in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, advertised the car in Autotrader, describing it as a "stunning car previously belonging to Michael Owen".
"This is the best value 599 on the market today," it said. "Just arrived in stock."
Ex-Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo wrote off a Ferrari 599 GTB in a crash in January while travelling through a tunnel near Manchester Airport.
