GRAHAM KAVANAGH looks set to stay with Sunderland until January after talks with two clubs failed to produce agreement.
Black Cats' manager Roy Keane said today he has told Kavanagh he "will not stand in his way".

Sheffield Wednesday were on of the clubs keen to secure the midfielder's signature before today's 5pm Football League emergency loan deadline.

Keane said: "I don't think anything will be happening with Kav now today. He has been in talks with a couple of clubs and I have left the decision to him.

"We said we would not stand in his way. There were one or two players we gave permission to speak to clubs, but the modern player is in a strong position and they're not going to go if the deal isn't right."

Young winger Billy Dennehy may leave the Stadium of Light to join Accrington Stanley on loan today.
