ANOTHER Tyne-Wear derby is nearly upon us, with Newcastle United preparing to take on old rivals Sunderland.
Homes, offices, factories and pubs and clubs all over the north east are buzzing with anticipation for Sunday's showdown at St James's Park.

And the Gazette is no different, as Magpies and Mackems wind each other up about the likely outcome.

A more informed debate took place this week between two members of our sports department, Newcastle United writer Miles Starforth and Sunderland AFC writer Gary Foster.

They talked about the contrasting managerial styles of Kevin Keegan and Roy Keane, and their sides' respective strengths and weaknesses.

And they put their reputations on the line by predicting the final score...
