Medium Rhianne talks to spirits
RECENTLY, I was speaking with the medium Rhianne D'Morgyn, who is making a bit of a name for herself – and deservedly so.
I have put her psychic abilities to the test a number of times, and never found her wanting.
For those who wish to know a little more about Rhianne, read on.
Mike: When did you realise you were a medium?
Rhianne: "It was a slow process for me and started when I was a child.
"I constantly saw people that seemingly no one else could.
"I would see people sitting on the chair in my room, or just have a feeling that someone was standing behind me.
"When I went to school it all stopped, but at the age of 18 my grandma passed away and I was given her Tarot cards.
"This sparked my interest in all things spiritual again and I started to hone my abilities."
M: Was it unnerving when you first realised you had the gift?
R: "Absolutely not. I revisited my gift at a later date when I was a lot older.
"It felt more normal. I had encountered many psychics and mediums, and wasn't put off by it at all.
"I think communicating with spirits is the most natural thing in the world."
M: Can you recall the first time you felt a presence?
R: "Yes, I was a lot younger and I remember just thinking that it was strange – the fact I could sense someone but not see them".
M: What reactions have you had from those who know of your gift?
R: "Most people are fascinated by it. The first question I'm asked is to tell them something from the spirit world.
"A few get scared by it, and for some reason think that mediums are mind readers.
"We're not, so don't panic."
M: What has been your most memorable experience?
R: "I have had many experiences with spirits over the years.
"The most recent one was being woken up at 2am by a spirit to pass on a message to a friend of someone.
"I'd gone to sleep, only to be woken up seeing the face of this lady.
"At first I thought something had happened to her, but when I tuned in, it turned out it was this lady's partner that had passed to spirit who was wanting me to pass on messages to her.
"She had been asking him to come through to her at the exact moment I was woken up.
"I got back to sleep eventually, but only after I had passed on the messages."
M: Have you ever had a deceased relative make contact?
R: "Yes, I have. I have seen my paternal grandfather in my kitchen, and my maternal grandmother is often around me, generally when I'm doing readings for people.
"It's more just a sense of her that I get and my right foot starts to go hot. That seems to be her 'calling card'."
M: Have you had any really unusual experiences?
R: "During one reading a spirit kept showing me a dog.
"The lady couldn't place the it at all, as neither she nor anyone in her family had one.
"I really couldn't make head or tail of it. Then suddenly the penny dropped.
"I asked if they had been decorating. "It turned out she had and the dog I had seen was identical to the one used in TV adverts by a paint manufacturer.
"It was the spirit's way of showing me she'd been decorating, and wanting me to acknowledge it."
M: What do you want to do in the future?
R: "I've learned to expect the unexpected with the spirits over the years, so I try not to plan too far ahead.
"However, I love the work that I do. As long as I can keep doing that I'll be happy.
"Most of the work I have done has been private consultations, but I have started to do more platform work and I see that continuing".
