Elephants are in danger
AFRICAN elephants are in danger from ivory poachers once again.
We need to put pressure on the UK Government to oppose the sale of stockpiles of ivory by countries such as Zimbabwe, which history has shown, increases the slaughter and illegal poaching of elephant tusks.
Next week, at the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species meeting, there will be a vote on whether to let a third sale of ivory happen.
In the past, Britain has sat on the fence and allowed the sale to go ahead, but with overwhelming evidence that this increases the killing of elephants and the poaching of their ivory, we need the UK to vote against the sale.
