Hopes for another new year
AS a new year begins, It would be so good if without any sins,
We could only put all wars aside,
A world full of happiness and peace to abide,
To think we humans who create all these fears,
When we could have a world without any fears.
I pay tribute to our residential homes of today,
What would we oldies do without them, I say,
Such patience and help to us all they give
Making our declining years a reason to live.
They make each birthday a time of pleasure,
Giving us memories we can treasure.
So I close these fair words of mine to say,
What would we oldies do without them today?
