Britney video condones animal cruelty
I felt compelled to write to register my disgust at the video for the song Circus from Britney Spears's new album of that name.
Captive elephants and lions appear in this video, performing circus tricks for our supposed amusement.
These poor animals can suffer terribly, both mentally and physically, at the hands of trainers and because of their often appalling living conditions.
We should abolish circuses that include performing animals, not encourage them.
I have already written to Sony BMG Music Entertainment to voice my outrage at its ignorance and selfishness.
