Independents take Monkton from Labour

LABOUR suffered another loss in Monkton, which John Hodgson took for the Independents.
Terry Fairley was beaten into second place by more than 100 votes in a ward where the electorate had five candidates to choose from.

Turnout: 40.7 per cent.
