SOUTH Tyneside Athletic put up a good show against Whiteleas Celtic in the Under-10s Division One of the Chase Holmes South Tyneside Youth League.
But even a star man performance from Shaw couldn't stop them going down to two excellent strikes from Millwater and Langley.

The result of the day was Jarrow Fellgate's great 2-1 win over Jarrow Vikings, which is their third victory of the campaign.

Exley was the goal-scoring hero for Fellgate with two fine finishes, while Taylor netted in style for the Vikings.

Consett Saracens were in great form in their match against South Shields Jaguars Cubs, running out comfortable 6-0 winners.

On the scoresheet were Hall, two own goals and a superb hat-trick from Sullivan.

In a cracking match, South Shields Jaguars thought they had secured the points against title rivals Hebburn Town Demons when they led 2-1 with seconds to go.

However, Demons struck to share the spoils in a tremendous game.
On the mark for Hebburn was Kelly with two good goals, along with fine finishes from Jags' Fairnsworth and Scott.

League leaders Hebburn Town Devils kept up their fine form with a hard-earned 2-0 win over Leam Rangers, who put up a good show. Two well-taken goals from the prolific Melia settled the match.

Chuter Ede Hurricanes and South Shields Raiders played out an exciting 3-3 draw.

Raiders took a 3-1 lead through strikes from Gibson (2) and Booth after Parkin had put the Hurricanes in front early on.

But with time ticking away, leading scorer Carrick stamped his authority on the game with two late goals to clinch a well-deserved point for his side.

* All games were cancelled in the Under-10s Premier League, sponsored by Drummonds Industrial Cleaners.
