I HOPE residents of the Westoe ward in South Shields are not persuaded to vote for Allen Branley if he stands in a by-election he himself caused.
As a taxpayer, I am absolutely furious that a by-election will be held, costing thousands of pounds of our money, because a councillor couldn't be bothered to attend meetings.

Residents of Westoe, remember that for six whole months, issues of concern to you have not been raised, and Mr Branley's promise to hold the Labour Party to account has failed to materialise.

Frankly, you should vote for anybody but Mr Branley.

The Monster Raving Loony Party would be better. At least it would attend its meetings.

J Halligan,
Monkton Avenue,
South Shields.
