THE world in money terms has never had so much at its disposal, but the problem is greed.
People live beyond their means, and big businesses and financial institutions award themselves vast sums for very little effort.

A lot of people in this country and elsewhere have wealth that has been amassed at the expense of others without regard.

They have so much money they cannot possibly spend it, even in a dozen lifetimes. Greed, as ever, is the culprit, and the public must be incensed by this.

The cost of living is rising daily, while big companies announce profits running into billions.

And the people running these companies will be filling their bank accounts at the public's expense.

Unless something is done to curb the indifferent attitude of big businesses and the Government, the public's attitude will invariably change to one of mass protest and discontent.

G Miller,
Jarrow.
