MPs have voted to reject tougher auditing, keeping the so-called John Lewis List for their expenses.
Many Government ministers voted in favour of keeping the additional costs allowance.

The word hypocrisy springs to mind when, while people are losing their homes because of the credit crunch, MPs can use public money to pay for items like new kitchens and TVs.
