WHEN those Garlands call centre buildings were under construction in Long Row, it was nice to see that they weren't going to be standard steel girder and glass rectangular office blocks.
You couldn't help noticing their potential to be quickly converted into flats – sorry, apartments – if and when the telephonists move out. Clever design.

As the roof tiles were going on, a disturbingly recognisable shape became apparent.

Then the scaffolding and sheeting were removed to reveal those large arched windows and the true horror of the Garlands Churches of St Callcentre!
