A TOP 20 list of suggested road improvements was published this month, after the council asked the public for ideas.
Now the suggestions are being put to the vote, with the most popular schemes to be implemented in the autumn.

I am sure that it would receive many useful suggestions – badly phased traffic lights, removal of traffic lights, better filter lane controls etc.

I can think of quite a few suggestions which would improve traffic flow, and reduce congestion and carbon emissions.

South Shields.
