NOW that Coun Paul Waggott has gone, who will pick up the baton and
ensure better access for people with wheelchairs and pushchairs to Fellgate Metro station?
Nexus cannot blame it all on vandals.

When I had a meeting with their representatives, along with Paul Waggott, they gave me a couple of reasons why the lifts were always failing.

One reason was that the sun shone on the lift doors, causing them not to work.

They said nothing about when the sun did not shine, and they still didn't work.

Why don't they just be straight with the people of Jarrow and say they will not spend the money?

As for the disabled having the same laws as able people; tell that to Nexus.

J R Cusworth,
Jarrow.
