X Factor winners Mix with TV royalty

X FACTOR winners Little Mix enjoyed the star treatment at the National Television Awards last night.

The band, which stars South Shields singers Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards, joined X Factor judges Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow on stage when the show took the gong for Best Talent Show.

The group, which also includes Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, also performed at the star-studded awards ceremony, broadcast live on ITV1, singing En Vogue’s Don’t Let Go, which won them critical acclaim when they first performed it during the X Factor live shows.

Perrie, 18, from Whiteleas, tweeted her excitement to the band’s 615,000 followers, saying: “At the O2 I think I might die with excitement! So nervous for tonight, hope it all goes well. Getting ready to rock and roll now!”

The night’s other big winners were Ant and Dec, who won best entertainment presenters for an incredible eleventh consecutive year, and Coronation Street, which won the Serial Drama prize and the Serial Drama Performance for Katherine Kelly.
