Young author’s new book is a peach!

A YOUNG author from South Tyneside has published the second in his series of children’s books.
Daniel Eisan, of Grotto Gardens in Marsden, South Shields, has released his book, The Lonely Peach: Percy’s Jungle Adventure.
The story is a follow-up to the former Whitburn School pupil’s first book, The Lonely Peach, which tells the story of a peach, called Percy, which comes to life after it is picked off a tree by a farmer.
He escapes in order to avoid being sold and is helped in his struggle by Olivia the owl.
Daniel, 20, said: “Percy runs off again, but this time he gets lost in the jungle. Everyone tries to warn him, but he goes anyway.
“All the characters from the first book are there and come together to help him find his way back home.”
He said: “I really enjoyed writing the first one and everyone I know who read it said they really liked it, so I wanted to do another one.
“I plan to write a series of them, but I couldn’t say how many. I just don’t know yet.”
Since leaving school, Daniel has pursued his love of writing as a possible career.
He has published both his books through self-publishing site, Xlibris.
He said: “I’ve sold quite a few copies of my first book. It’s been doing really well.
“I like writing children’s books, but I want to do other things as well.
“I’m writing a crime drama with a friend at the moment, that we’re hoping to get on television.
“I’d love to see something that I’ve written on television but I haven’t really settled on anything in particular yet.
“I like writing for all ages.”
