LIVE REVIEW
PENDULUM
Newcastle Carling Academy

IT'S a long time since I've been as mesmerised as I was at this sold-out show on Sunday night.
The drum and bass sensations' typically heavy beats, low, buzzing bass-lines and synthesized leads went down a storm with the capacity crowd.

The bass beats laid down by the band, who relocated to the UK from their native Perth in Australia, were truly brilliant, and the accompanying light-show spectacular.

Blood Sugar was by far their best song, with the crowd going mad when they recognised the opening bars.

Paul 'El Hornet' Harding was the consummate frontman, keeping the energy levels as high in front of the stage as they were on it.

They finished the performance with Hold Your Colour, which had everyone on their feet.

Overall, the band were on top form, and are carving the way forward for drum and bass. Top show!
