WESTOE made history as the club reached the echelons of national rugby for the first time.
The Shieldsmen won 43-17 away to Beverley to clinch the league title and with it promotion to National Three (North).
It was a day of double celebrations for the Wood Terrace outift as their third team also won their cup final.
