ALBUM REVIEW
THEM CROOKED VULTURES
Them Crooked Vultures (Sony Music)
THIS first offering from the supergroup consisting of Dave Grohl (Nirvana/Foo Fighters), Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age) and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) has been eagerly awaited since they wowed the summer festival circuit.
And, as you'd expect of a group brimming with such talent, it's a pretty decent album, if a little overblown in places, with a couple of songs topping the seven-minute mark.
Gunman, Caligulove, Scumbag Blues and Dead End Friends are all fine slices of hard rock, however, making this record definitely worth a listen. 7/10. GW
