Thousands of people gathered on South Shields seafront today to show their support for Armed Forces Day.
The annual event, which is organised by the Bad-Landers Motorcycle Club in partnership with South Tyneside Council, aims to raise funds for military charities and awareness of the vital work carried out by the Armed Forces.
It began with a cavalcade of motorcyclists along Sea Road, followed by a military parade and service.
The day was rounded off by a family fun day at Bents Park on the seafront.
