LOCATION, location, location. Boldon Business Park has attracted another firm to relocate there.
Autoweld Systems Ltd has moved from Durham, taking over industrial space at one of Buildings for Business's units.
Autoweld was established in 1995 to design, manufacture and supply world-class internal and external automatic pipeline welding systems to pipeline construction companies throughout the world.
And a key reason for the move to South Tyneside was the business park's close proximity to both Newcastle and Sunderland city centres.
Kris Yorke, from Autoweld, said: "The unit at Boldon is ideally located for our exporting side of the business as it is situated just off the A19 and therefore has great transport links, and with a hotel on site, it's great for when we have overseas visitors."
He added: "Initially we spoke to Buildings for Business about our requirements at the Tyne and Wear Commercial Property Show.
"We searched for months to find the right type of premises to suit our workshop and office requirements.
"Buildings for Business and their agent Douglas Cranston from King Sturge were very helpful throughout this whole process."
Taking a 10-year lease, the unit has enabled the company to grow in its efficiency through developing new systems.
The unit is located on Burford Way, just North of its junction with Whitney Way.
Buildings for Business, the partnership between UK Land Estates and One NorthEast, has a number of other units available for sale or to let at Boldon Business Park, both industrial and hybrid units comprising of a 50/50 office and workshop mix.
