Appeal over assault on bus passenger

A MAN was thrown to the floor of a bus after a row.
The 36-year-old victim, from South Shields, was uninjured in the incident, which happened as the E2 service travelled from South Shields to Sunderland on Tuesday, at about 9.45pm.
The driver stopped the bus in Sunderland Road and the raised the alarm.
A man, from South Shields, was arrested and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Detectives are asking witnesses to call DC Lynn Lewis, at South Shields CID, on 08456 043 043 ext 49824.
