Driver hurt in three-car smash
A WOMAN was injured after being involved in a three-car pile-up.
The accident happened at about 3pm yesterday in Sunderland Road, Harton, South Shields.
The 34-year-old woman, who was driving an Audi, collided with a Mini Cooper.
A Volkswagen Polo also became involved in the collision.
The Audi driver was taken to South Tyneside District Hospital with back injuries.
