Drugs party victim's funeral is today

THE funeral of a man who died after a drug-taking party at a South Tyneside flat will be held today.
Callum Taylor was rushed to South Tyneside District Hospital on July 27, from the Hampden Street property in South Shields.

The 24-year-old was one of several people taken for treatment after paramedics called to the scene were concerned for their welfare. Mr Taylor later died.

Ryan Burn, 20, who was also taken to hospital, died a week later.

A funeral service for Mr Taylor was taking place at 11.30am, at South Shields Crematorium.

To date, 18 people have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
