NORTH East parents are set to lead the way when it comes to splashing out on Christmas presents for their youngsters.
A survey has revealed that, despite the credit crunch, those living in the region are planning on filling up their children's stockings with a variety of gifts.
According to Woolworths.co.uk those quizzed revealed they are also set to fork out for an extra 10 "stocking filler" presents for their youngsters compared to their London counterparts, who said they would only buy two to three extra gifts per child.
