Freight train jumps off tracks

EMERGENCY services were scrambled after a freight train derailed in Jarrow.
One carriage jumped the line at the Shell Terminal in Quay Corner, just after 4.15pm yesterday.
Police and firefighters were called to the scene, although no one was hurt and little damage was done to the train.
The carriage was later lifted back on to the track.
