COULD you give a loving new home to Hugo?

The five-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier was found wandering the Penshaw area of Sunderland two weeks ago and has been at West Hall Kennels in Cleadon ever since.

Many people have been put off because of his surly expression and reluctance to engage with visitors to the kennel.

But manager Sarah Wilkinson said: "He's such a loving and affectionate dog but people don't really see it.

"When people come to visit, he'll sit right at the back of his kennel and people think he isn't interested, but that's not the case.

"He'd be best suited to a family with no other pets, who are experienced Staffie owners."

To rehome Hugo or any of the other dogs at the kennels, call 529 2369.
