Man denies murder of young mum in her home

A MAN has denied murdering a young mum who was beaten to death in her home.
Stuary Cummings, 26, of Derwent Close, Sacriston, Co Durham, yesterday pleaded not guilty to the murder of Kelly McKitten.

Ms McKitten, 31, was found dead in her home at Gardiner Crescent, Pelton
Fell, Chester le Street, in February.

Cummings will be tried by a jury at Newcastle Crown Court on August 4. He was remanded in custody in the meantime.
