PLANS to close special schools across the borough have been given the thumbs down by www.shieldsgazette.com users.
We revealed yesterday that the borough's education chiefs were planning a radical shake-up of special needs education in South Tyneside, which included proposals to shut five schools.

Today we reported that pupils at one of the closure threatened schools, Epinay School, in Jarrow, are fighting against the proposals

No - 82 per cent
