A THEATRE group is looking for young stars for its next production.
South Tyneside-based Starset Theatre, formerly known as Tyneside Stage School, is putting on Little Shop of Horrors at the Customs House, South Shields, next year.

And auditions for the main parts are being held tomorrow.

Director Elissa Hudson, who runs the performing arts group with husband John, said: "All our students get to appear in every show, but auditions for lead characters often introduce us to new talent.

"It's always an exciting – and often surprising – process."

The theatre group's last show was a hugely successful version of Les Miserables.

And as well as Little Shop of Horrors, it is rehearsing A Night at the Movies, to be shown in December, and will then start work on Fame – The Musical, which will be at the Customs House next July.

Anybody interested should contact John or Elissa on 0793
264 5495, or go along to Chuter Ede Education Centre, in Galsworthy Road, tomorrow, for the class, which runs from 10am to 1pm.
