Two arrests after shop raid

TWO men were due to appear in court today charged with robbery after a raid on a village store.
David Clark, 24 of Mainsforth Terrace West, Sunderland, and John Anthony Percy, 24, of Elmwood Avenue, Sunderland, were due before Sunderland magistrates.

They are accused of stealing cash from Sainsbury's Local in Station Terrace, East Boldon, on Monday.

They also face a charge each of attempted theft on a Sunderland garage.
