Two men found with head injuries

POLICE are seeking witnesses after a man was found wandering the streets with a head injury.

The 21-year-old was found by a taxi driver in Barnes Road, Laygate, South Shields, on Sunday at about 7.15am.

He was taken to South Tyneside District Hospital suffering from a head injury.

Meanwhile, at an address also in Laygate, another 21-year-old man was found with a head injury. He was also taken to hospital.

Police are not connecting the two incidents. Anyone with information is asked to contact 03456 043 043.
