GROOMS will have no excuse for not getting to the church in time – by arriving by Harley Davidson.
Always on the lookout for a quirky new business opportunity, wedding shop owner Lynn Lucas has joined forces with Hadrian V-Twin Tours for a novel way to deliver the groom on his big day.

Vroom Groom is her latest venture, offering the service from her shop, Aisle Alter Hymn, in Dean Road, Westoe, South Shields.

She said: "I'm always looking for something different, and loved the idea of a groom turning up on a big, powerful motorbike."

Grooms can hire the bike themselves, if they have a licence, or rely on rider John Johnston, owner of Hadrian V-Twin Tours.

He has been a biker for 30 years, and has ridden a Harley for the last 20.

He set up his business, in Ponteland, a year ago.

He knows Ms Lucas through a friend of hers, who hired one of his bikes for a charity ride last year.

Ms Lucas specialises in civil partnerships, but her shop is open to all.
