A man who threatened another man and swore at a woman outside a South Shields McDonald’s store is being hunted by police.

Between 9pm and 9.15pm on Tuesday, March 1, a man threatened another man and shouted offensive language at a woman outside McDonald’s in King Street.

Northumbria Police say inquiries are ongoing into the incident and officers are keen to trace a man who was in the area at the time and who might be able to help with enquiries.

He is described as having dark blonde hair and was wearing beige trousers, a black and grey jumper and black trainers with white laces.

Officers are appealing for this man, anyone who recognises him, or anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference OIC2611.

The force says it has CCTV footage of the man and may consider releasing it at a later stage to help identify him.
