A charity is looking for enthusiastic individuals raring to engage with the local community in South Tyneside.
Marie Curie is encouraging local people to join the South Tyneside fundraising group and make a difference, all while meeting new people in the area, having fun and helping to secure the on-going support delivered by Marie Curie.
The charity said by being a fundraising group member, volunteers will become a key component in a passionate team, devoted to raising crucial funds and as much awareness as possible.
With other group members, they will organise collections, fundraising events and other awareness activities.
The group also promotes the work of the charity and encourages support for Marie Curie within the local community.
Marie Curie Community Fundraiser Hayley Revell said: “Joining the South Tyneside Fundraising Group is a wonderful way to play an important role in the work of a national charity at a local level, make new friendships and engage with your community.
“We’re really excited and it will make a huge difference locally by helping to raise awareness of the free care Marie Curie provides to people with terminal illnesses in the local area.”
Anyone interested in joining the group to make a positive difference to the work of Marie Curie in South Tyneside should contact Community Fundraiser Charlotte Campbell on 0191 219 1234 or email email@example.com
The charity is also hosting a ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ in June. For a free fundraising pack with ideas, recipes and resources, go to www.mariecurie.org.uk
