BEAUTY is in the eye of the beholders as a beauty business in South Tyneside goes from strength to strength.
Lyndsey Inskip has tapped into the modern-day demand for beauty embellishments.
Modern women require eyelash extensions and a plethora of other products to enhance their appearance.
That’s where 29-year-old Lyndsey’s up-and-coming business is proving a hit.
She launched Linzi Lashes in Imeary Street, South Shields, in April 2012, after previously working as freelance therapist.
It didn’t take long to build up a loyal clientèle, and in March this year she moved into larger premises in the town’s Westoe Road – at the former Elegance Bridal outlet.
Now she has ambitions to expand further if her business continues to boom.
Lynsey said: “It didn’t take long until to build up a lot more clients and then have three staff at Imeary Street. Within two years we had moved to a bigger premises closer to the town centre.
“I now have four members of staff and so much more room, and have introduced new treatments such as xD Russian Volume eyelash extensions, 3D Faceframe Eyebrows and lycon hot wax.
“More will be added throughout this year, including semi-permanent make-up and gel nail extensions.
“I am also working towards a teaching qualification, so I will be able to train people myself.
“I will also be offering more retail products for clients, and we are already stocking products such as new CID make-up, eyelash maintenance products and the new Skinade product, of which we are the only stockist in South Shields.
“Also, we will soon have a computerised diary and will be able to offer bookings online and through a mobile app.
“I love having my own salon and I have a lot of ambitions and can’t wait to see what happens in the next few years”.
