A SOUTH Tyneside family company has marked another milestone during its diamond anniversary year.
As butcher Dicksons celebrates 60 years in business, employee Keith Hopper is celebrating 30 years of dedicated service with the company.
Mr Hopper, 61, is the manager of the Dicksons branch in Fowler Street, South Shields, and is a familiar face to thousands of customers.
After starting his career at the Fowler Street shop in the 1980s, he went on to act as area manager, serving the many Dicksons retail outlets across South Tyneside, before returning to manage the shop where he first started.
Mr Hopper, from Sunderland, said: “I’m delighted to have reached my 30-year anniversary with Dicksons.
“Over the years, I’ve noticed many changes as Dicksons has rolled with the times to serve the evolving needs of our customer base.”
Mr Hopper added: “Dicksons is a true family firm on every level and this applies to the wonderful camaraderie among staff, as well as our loyalty to the company.”
Michael Dickson, managing director of Dicksons, said: “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Keith for his long service to Dicksons over the last 30 years and his unending enthusiasm for ensuring our customers get the service and quality they expect when they walk into a Dicksons store.
“Congratulations, and we look forward to many more years working together in the future.”
