ALL is rosy in the garden at a care home in South Tyneside after it was rated as one of the best in the region.
Garden Hill Care Home, in St Michael’s Avenue, South Shields, was named third out of 876 care homes in the North East in a poll led by industry website, carehome.co.uk.
The home scooped an award from the website for breaking into the top 20 of the league table.
Lyndsay Scott, manager of the home, said: “It is wonderful to receive this award, and the positive feedback from residents, relatives and visitors of Garden Hill.
“We will continue to provide the highest quality of care to our residents.”
Davina Ludlow, director of carehome.co.uk, said: “We felt the best people to rate a care home were the people who really know its ins and outs – residents and their families.

Carehome.co.uk is an online directory site which lists all registered UK care homes with the aim of assisting web users in their search for the right care home.

The ranking was based on the homes’ recommendation score, calculated in February 2014.
