The following people have been dealt with at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court:
Colin Eccles, 33, of Osborne Avenue, South Shields, was jailed for 18 weeks after admitting driving while disqualified in Osborne Avenue, South Shields, on Sunday, June 19 and driving without insurance on the same date.
He was also given six penalty points and he was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
Christopher Robertson, 36, of Tadema Road, South Shields, was jailed for four weeks after admitting receiving stolen goods – namely three Hugo Boss shirts and eight cufflinks and display set to the value of £320 between Friday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 25.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £115.
Katy Allen, 20, of Stoddart Street, South Shields, was banned from driving for 18 months and fined £250 after admitting driving with excess alcohol in South Shields on Friday, June 17.
She was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.
William Tate, 26, of Lincoln Road, South Shields, was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a total of £380 compensation after admitting three counts of causing criminal damage, to a Vauxhall Astra vehicle, a Vauxhall Corsa and a Renault Scenic, in Lincoln Road, South Shields, on Saturday, June 18.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £20 victim surcharge.
Jonathon Evans, 27, of Coston Drive, South Shields, was ordered to pay compensation of £174 after causing criminal damage to a door at Ridge House, South Shields, on Tuesday, May 3.
Tracie Hitchcock, 48, of Southfields, Hertfordshire, was fined £550 and her driving record was endorsed with ten penalty points after admitting driving with excess alcohol in Glen Street, Hebburn, on March 25.
She must also pay court costs of £620 and a £55 victim surcharge.
