A MAN has pleaded guilty to producing cannabis after 20 plants were found at his home.
They were discovered at Christopher Hayes’s address in Northbourne Road, Jarrow, on May 4.
John Wilkinson, defending, told Newcastle Crown Court that 40-year-old Hayes had grown the drug for his own use only and added that there was no ‘suggestion of dealing’.
Judge David Wood adjourned sentencing until February 5.
Hayes pleaded guilty to production of cannabis and was given unconditional bail.
