POLICE in South Tyneside today released a CCTV rogues’ gallery of suspects they want to speak to about an array of unsolved crimes.
Those pictured were in the areas when and where the crimes took place and they may have information that could help officers with inquiries.
Police are appealing for those pictured, or anyone who recognises anyone in the images, to contact them with information as soon as possible.
South Tyneside Chief Inspector Mick Barton said: “The images are being released as part of Operation Soundwave, which is aimed at tackling volume crime - mainly opportunist offences like theft. I’d urge anyone who recognises the people in the images to get in touch with us.”
Anyone who recognises anyone in the images, or who has any information that could help police with their inquiries, is asked to call 101 ext 69191, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
The pictures relate to the following offences:
BB1: July 11/12th - Two computer memory sticks worth £60 stolen from Wilkinsons, Market Place, South Shields.
BB2: May 25 - Eight cans of lager stolen from the Mccoll store in Abbey Drive, Jarrow.
BB3: July 18 - Mountain bike worth £600 stolen from outside of Utility Wise, Market Dock, South Shields.
BB4: July 12 - An Apple iPhone, purse and cash taken from a self service till in Asda, Coronation Street, South Shields.
BB5: July 20 - Jacket stolen from the Barbour outlet in Monksway, Jarrow.
BB6: July 30 - Alcohol stolen from B & A stores in Stanhope Road, Jarrow.
BB7: July 23 - £200 cash was taken from a cash point at Asda, North Road, Boldon.
BB8: July 9 - Over £100 worth of perfume stolen from Asda, North Road, Boldon.
BB9: July 23 - Number of items were taken from the Co-Op store in Dean Road, South Shields.
BB10: August 7 - A woman was assaulted in the Annie McCarthy’s pub in Albemarle Street, South Shields.
BB11: August 3 - Lager stolen from the Top Shop in Edinburgh Road, Jarrow.
BB12: August 31 - Window of a house smashed in Olive Street, South Shields.
BB13: July 5 - Around £600 cash stolen from Coast Road Garage, Mill Lane, Whitburn.
