POLICE today released a photograph of two dog walkers they want to trace after a dog died after being attacked on a South Tyneside beach.
At 6.45pm on Sunday, June 30, a woman reported that her dog had been attacked by another dog on Marsden Beach, South Shields, and was later put down.
The woman had been walking her Chihuahua on the beach when it was attacked by a black dog which was being walked by two people, a man and a woman, and which was not on a lead.
Police today released a CCTV image of two people seen in the area at the time who they need to speak to, as they may have important information about the incident.
