A ROWDY drinker threw a glass towards the landlady of a South Tyneside pub after she was asked to leave.
Abigail Leightley was told to get out of the Lord Nelson in Monkton Village, Jarrow, when her group of friends became too loud.
The 19-year-old threw a pint glass towards the woman and the drink splashed onto her legs.
Leightley, of Hautmont Road, Hebburn, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court.
John McGlone, told the court it happened on August 30.
Laura Johnson, defending, said: “She was with a group of friends when another group joined them. The others were extremely drunk.
“She was trying to remove herself from the situation, which resulted in a drink being spilled on the landlady.
“She wanted to defuse the situation but accepts her part in it and apologises for her behaviour.”
Magistrates fined Leightley £37 and ordered her to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
