A DRUNKEN man was arrested by police after insisting on returning to a property to retrieve a bottle of cider, a court was told.

Police were called to an address in Bedford Avenue, South Shields, on the evening of November 21 last year.

Mark Seff, 36, was found at the address, where a woman told officers: “Get him out of here, please”.

Seff, of Pine Avenue, South Shields, was verbally abusive, but did leave the flat, only to return later for the cider he’d left behind.

He was arrested and appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court to admit to being drunk and disorderly. He was fined £35, with £80 costs and a £20 surcharge.
