A DRUNKEN dad was arrested after swearing at police who moments earlier had arrested his daughter.

Jason Parvia was warned about his behaviour by the officers who were called to a fight outside Roxanne’s nightclub in Ocean Road, South Shields.

But when the 41-year-old continued the abuse officers arrested him.

Parvia, of Lynwood Way, South Shields, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court.

Paul Anderson, prosecuting, said: “At 1.10am police were called to some trouble outside Roxanne’s on Ocean Road.

“A group of women were arguing and it ended with one getting arrested.

“The defendant decided to get involved and started swearing at the officers. He was warned but continued and was eventually arrested.”

Defending himself, Parvia said: “My daughter was arrested and I thought another girl should have been arrested as well which is why I was going mad.”

Magistrates fined him £37 and ordered him to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
